Well, actually, the brain can’t just create a herd and expect to count it objectively. I’d just be coming up with some arbitrary number already determined by the preceding conjuration. It’s much easier to fall asleep when I have nothing to think about, but then I start thinking about thinking, and it would just save us a lot of trouble if I took some sleeping pills.
